From Uni Friends to Founders: How Black & White Was Born
It started in a shared house kitchen: three friends, one kettle, and far too many design opinions.
Jess, Tori, and Annabel met in uni—drawn together by a shared sense of humour, a love of beautiful things, and a mutual disdain for clutter (physical and visual). Jess, the quiet observer, always sketching. Tori, the expressive one, always covered in charcoal dust. Annabel, strategic and sharp, always seeing the bigger picture.
Fast forward a few years, and we were still talking about the same thing: how interior design had become overwhelming. How too many brands were doing too much. How all we really wanted was clean, beautiful, useful things—in black and white.
So we built it.
